Best Modular PSU for Prodigy Case

What PSU would be a great choice for this case?

I want it to be modular and gold certified.

I was thinking of getting this PSU:

ST45SF-G 450W

I have heard issues with the unit as it can get quite loud and produce coil wine.

Does anyone know other PSU's specifically for the Prodigy case that will be a perfect fit? or should I go ahead and buy the one I listed.

Thank you.

That's an SFX PSU, and the Prodigy can fit a regular ATX PSU.

Does the PSU need to be fully modular? Or can it be semi-modular (motherboard and CPU power cable are permanently attached)?

Yes, a fully modular PSU. I'm not adding in a graphics card so I think 350-400 would be more than enough, I just want a silent one with modular cables.

Budget?

Around $120AUD

I have a Prodigy and I can tell you that you do NOT want a modular PSU. I recommend semi or even non modular as the cables have a way of not fitting when modular.

Get one of the builder series Corsair PSUs and you should be good.

EDIT: You have a fair bit of money for a PSU so this should do you well https://pcpartpicker.com/part/seasonic-power-supply-ssr550rm

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

I also have a BitFenix Prodigy, and seems is the latest model or revision, because the cage where the PSU sits is different from many I've seen in photos, my cage have a big cut-out to allow modular cables in PSU's, if you want I can take a photo. :P
