Hey guys,

Please could someone rate my setup? It's nothing special and not the best as I don't really play games that often, and if I do, it's only ArmA 2 :P

CPU - AMD FX6300

GPU - AMD R7 270 ( Upgrading to the Asus GTX 760 soon )

Motherboard - Asus M5A78L-M

CPU Cooler - Stock

RAM - 8GB

Thats all I figured you would be able to rate :P

Thanks,

~ Harry

It seems impossible until it's done.

I r8 8/8

(for reals, 8/10. Seems like a decent 1080p machine. I would wait with the 760 upgrade. Idon't think the 760 is a whole lot better than R9 270)

I give it a 3 out of 10

I feel you rated it straight up performance... Right?

Anyway, I give it a 8/12

Upgrade cpu cooler and the graphics card, I give 11/12.

I rate price to performance, total balanced Ing ness... Words... And whether or not it's overkill for what they need.

I only ever give 12/12s for when the whole setup is like, upwards of 15k outta the wallet.... Sooooooo xD

I don't believe in numeric scores so I'll just describe my impressions.

It's a romanticist art piece touching on the themes of longing for excellence (single threaded performance), yet being confronted by the pragmatic need for affordable, competitive , implementable total compute performance and justifying in our minds the environmental cost this cutthroat pursuit of this sometimes silly one-upsmanship (upgrading from a 270 to a 760), which can turn for some of us (AMD) into a race for survival.

Overall it's a promising debut, which would have benefited from a visual component, perhaps an out of focus picture with a bottle of canned air in the foreground.

I'd say 6/10.  I'd give you an extra .5 if an R7 270 actually existed.

R9 270 -> GTX760? Extremely wasteful.

But either way your build is ok, pretty balanced. 7/10.

Well that gpu has dropped in price pretty nicely to the point it starts to make sense, but yea not a massive difference.
