That is a shit reason to choose an APU over an Athlon. A system builder should know better.

these system are made for pure profits. to trick people to buy them. take a look around, you will see many of these unbalanced rigs selling for stupid money

the builders know it.

I wouldn't be able to do that as a builder. I pride myself in delivering a quality product. Shame not everyone else does.

To be fair they also have this one:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007PBHLHM/ref=s9_simh_gw_p147_d0_i3?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1BM7W7PRC5NBQS23MQCM&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=455344027&pf_rd_i=468294

which is much better balanced imho, so the choice is up to the buyer, in the end.

Anyone else finds that case way too 'in your face gamer' btw?

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

Micro Ed 'Gaming PC' $999.95 +$200

Asus H87M-Pro

8GB ddr3 1333MHz kingston ram

1TB Western digital blue

Multi card reader

500W PSU (came with case)

Integrated graphics @ 256MB shared

WiFi card

Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit

I had to specify a gtx 650 ti 2GB (cost an extra $200)

When their "Ultimate Gaming pc":

baseline i7

standard gtx 650 1GB

750W PSU

16GB RAM @ 1333MHz

128GB ssd

1TB Western digital blue

card reader

WIFi card

Asus H97M-Plus

Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit

$1567.95

And the funny thing is that this was at the start of February, and they still charge the same for them, only with a standard gtx 750 in the "Ultimate. Of course now that I've taken things into my own hands in regards to parts, it (Gaming PC) can play most games at full settings 1080p, though if I aim for about 40FPs instead of 60 I can go full settings.

Intel P4 HT 3GHz, 1GB DDR1 RAM, GeForce 5200, 450W Gutless Wonder, Weightless Paperweight Mid Tower Case, 15" Korean Class A monitor, generic mouse and keyboard, (sneak in a malware-laden, pirated WinXP 32Bit)...

Let's label it as a gaming PC and sell it for 15k PhP (approx 340USD)...

The PC costs 2000€, you spend 1.2k on a R9 295X2. 750€ on the rest of the build, excluding a PSU.
And you add a 300W no brand PSU...
G freaking G

Then it bursts into flames (not covered by warranty)...

Those descriptions actually sound a lot like the old rig in my sig. P4 HT 3GHz, 1.5GB DDR RAM, had an FX 5200, AOpen 300W PSU and AOpen case, with Windows XP 32-bit. BUT EXCEPT IT WAS FREE

I'll just leave this here... http://www.tomsguide.com/us/best-gaming-pc,review-2219.html#xtor=EPR-8886

Some of these aren't as bad as last years, but many of them are still garnished with an overkill CPU and weak(er) GPU.

For most people, i7 = powerful, the other components obviously dont matter. :P

I mean in most cases an i7 IS better but in the Pre-built world that can sometimes mean nothing.

Though for gamers and content creators sometimes having a better GPU can mean a lot.

The thing I hate the most on some pre built systems is when they advertise them as 12ghz computer because its a 3ghz processor which is a quad core! Does my nut in!

I have never heard of that happening before. Not even home shopping channels do that kind of crap. Like they do some messed up horseshit. But not that.
