Sexist Samsung?

Kejimuna

If you don't fucking stop, I'll report your ass.

It's not perfect, and it was figurative language.

You don't need to quote me on every single fucking thread that has Samsung on it.

I'm going to click on them anyways.

Understood?

Back to relevancy, I think the "rumored" galaxy alpha is sexy...

That back though, the ad sucks.

But the dotted front and chrome bezels around the camera and sensors are ugly :/

Samsung needs a complete rewrite of their design language.

Eh... well....

Lets see what they come up with the S6.

The Note 3 was impressive, and if Samsung could just recreate that kind of design....

Personally, I'm fine with the dotted front or even a dotted back.

The dotted back in the S5 is very tactile and feels nice in the hand actually.

Don't be so obtuse.  This is not sexism.   Stop looking for problems where none exist.

The guy: "Lets give it a try"

That illustrates nothing.    One of those guys looked Chinese, too.  Is Samsung anti-Chinese?

If it had no women, people would complain.  Add a woman, people complain.

People that claim this is proof of sexism have a right to have their opinion, but they also have the right to make themselves look foolish.  Both of which are accomplished at the same time.

The SSD is actually very good...But this video...i don't even...

I didn't find it sexist, because it is likely an accurate reproduction of this situation. But I have to agree that it IS still dumb.

 But LG tho

If you compare the two companies, it seems like LG is trying to target young men (yes men especially), but Samsung is trying to go for a larger audience.

The two ads express a completely different mood.

Happy and cheerful ads are Samsung's philosophy in a sense.

The women works at home. Just needs her computer for stupid online tasks, points out the obvious. Does not know what to do.

The guys work, they game and they have important things to do. They transfer files and load intense programs. The both jump right in to using the SSD.

The women is at home, she is wearing pink, and she has the computer on the kitchen counter.

The guys have on more modern clothes and are in a office. And that one kid is wearing a blue shirt.

I don't have a problem with this, but it is sexist. (And no, I do not believe in sexism)

As in the meaningless comment. Those are all stereotypes, but the abundance strikes the word "Sexism" to most peoples mind.

Okay point taken still, I find the design of both hardware and software/overlay on Android from LG to be far more refined and less of what Samsung fails at.

I mean if I was to get something other than a rMBP 15" I'd probably get a Samsung Ativ or Asus Zenbook because those two non Apple devices are surprisingly decent for what they are. Though I think Dell deserves some kind of merit too with its XPS line.

Still kind of wished Sony still made Vaio as some of the Vaio options were quite nice.

Also, I do kinda like the color idea Samsung has for microsd cards even though you'll only see it if you take it out or if you open the back of your phone.

Well Samsung does make good hardware, but they went with the wrong idea since the S4.

But I can see where they're coming from because in Korea, nothing is really optimized that well.

The internet is so broken, it's not even funny.

It's blazing fast, but it everything is blocked (porn sites and games after midnight I believe), "foreign" services like Google gets throttled, and you have to install shit like ActiveX with 5 different plugins which is from like 2007?

NO

I guess they're fine for some, but those who even remotely have a vested interest in the design and build quality of their devices balk at Samsung's products. The Alpha is a cheap attempt to straight-up make money off the iPhone's now-iconic band and antenna spacers (they're even in the same place), and while it's better than the S5 it's still missing the actual reason that could make it great: precision.

Not to start a war, but Samsung is so desperate to push products out the door that they don't spend time to sit down and think about what they're doing. Case in point? 7 smartwatches in under a year.

I know.. I'm Korean...

The G3 comes with alot of bloat too in a sense, but not as much as Samsung.

Yes, it's bloated, but I'll keep making it rain anyways.

You know how Samsung made some of the "bloat" optional on the S5?

I think they're heading towards the right direction.

My tips:

  1. Make all "bloat" optional to download at the PLAY STORE, not the Samsung store. (I really don't understand what Samsung is thinking with their own app store. They can't compete with Google, period.)
  2. Try offering a choice between stock Android vs Touchwiz at bootup, and make users download the ROM at bootup. (Don't include both ROMs as it's going to be a waste of space)
  3. Offer no more than 12 different variants of Galaxy devices
  4. Improve the budget lineup
  5. Follow material design, or come up with something better
  6. Improve aftermarket support (Honestly did not have problem with this. I think Samsung has the best support in the world, but seeing all those complaints at the facebook page though...)
  7. Bring back the PCs, and price them aggressively to match Lenovo. (Another AIO please..

All I can think of, and they should be right back on track.

Ya, Still would love to see LG enter the computer world I mean they have a ChromeBase but maybe they should expand their AIOs and possibly add in some laptops too.

LG has it in them (Kinda like Samsung)
