Steam Summer & Winter Sale(s) this year?

I doubt we have an official date when steam will start the summer sale and the winter sale(s) this year, end of June - early July?

Might I inquire as to why you say a whole month? Have they been getting longer every year? If it does start in July that gives more of us time to get money, eh?

I guess, i remember that last year i was at my parents house with no internet. And the sale ended after 24-25 days i think (almost a month) ^^

Anyone else just wish that Valve would let us know some way in advance? Like something via the steam client, like a 3 - 5 day notice . . . . .

Quick question about the summer/winter sale. I live in the states but I'll be in Australia on vacation when the sale hits, would I be able to log into my steam account and purchase at US prices while there or would it recognize my location as Australia?

I have no idea, but i would guess not. Unless you got yourself a vpn or similar that is in the US.

It's starts in the middle of summer, so around late June - mid July. And the winter sale is the same date as the Christmas sale, 15 Dec - 28th Dec.

Happens, really depends on how long they want to stretch it for, but it usually last 2 weeks.

Few hours ago I thought it might be today, thought the daily deal of Sunday ended at 11:50 instead of 12, which (I think) usually would mean the summer/winter sale would start that day. I don't think it's today.

I will get pissed if the summer sale is in between June 20 through July 2. During then, I will be on vacation.

Knowing a day of the week it starts on seems useful info. We'll probably see Tuesday (weds?), why? Because the daily deal time should be shortened I think. Usually seems to 'mark' when the large sales start.   I'd of thought it'd start on a Monday, the begging of a week, seems reasonable most schools start on a Monday I think.
