Vaping anyone?

What's a GPU?

Anyone else on here into vaping? My friends showed me it this last summer and I thought it was pretty cool so I picked it up, was wondering if anyone else on here was into it at all?

Also this is my newest piece of vape gear, pretty sweet!

My brother is into vaping like I'm into PC hardware, we commonly talk to each other about our respective hobbies while not understanding a dammed bit of the others hobby. Doesn't bother us of though, it's nice to be passionate about something.

Hi, I'm not familiar with those things, since you can seen them very rarely where I live, I did read a couple of things here and there, but can you give me a piece of personal info on it? What is it? how does it work? why do/don't use it?

No, but this word....

There Was a commercial once which at the end said: start vaping

For the first 2 times I read it as: start raping

(because of my bad eyes from long distance)

Seems like a good alternative to smoking for people trying to quit.

Seems like it might become addictive if you're just doing it for fun though. It is just water vapor to be fair.

I'm still fairly new but let me try to answer as best I can. It is basically a battery attached to some coils with a cloth or cotton fabric that runs through the coil. You put e-liquid on the coil (it's mostly some oils with flavoring and variable amounts of nicotine) and when the coil heats up from contact the battery, the liquid turns into a vapor and you inhale like a cigarette. The cloud you get is much bigger than that of a cigarette and has a good smell to it actually. It does not have tars or many of the other detrimental chemicals found in cigarettes, but it still has some. It is fun to do smoke tricks with and the small amount of nicotine gives you a nice buzz. Overall I just enjoy it.

Yeah from what I understand some people do get addicted to it, I have been doing it on and off for a couple months and I can easily stop or start whenever I want so I am not sure if it is just because I have a low dose of nicotine in mine or what, but either way I have not become addicted and it is not nearly as bad as smoking. Still not healthy though.

Like stated above it's relatively new, and we still don't know the long term effects. Vaping is more a hipster thing nowadays, if you're not a smoker don't start now.

It's actually not just water vapor and it has many of the same carcinogens as real cigarettes do however depending on what vaping liquid you're using the smell is far less unpleasant.

Read/watched a thing about it awhile ago, can't be bothered to find the link though.

I have a Pax by Ploom and it's awesome, though I suppose that means I only own and enjoy a vape, it's not really a full fledged hobby because I feel like my journey is complete.

congrats!!

I had been a smoker for 16 years so it took the edge off the cravings completely. I had tried nicotine lozenges, patches, Champix tablets and always ended up smoking again. Vaping just took that niggling craving away in my brain that really wanted to spark up a cig.

It definitely works because my parents had smoked since they were teenagers then completely stopped smoking cigarettes and started on the e-cig 3 years ago and haven't had a cigarette since.
