What's the best looking/best performing cooler?

CPU cooler most likely for i7-4790k. I have a Noctua NH-U14s, but unless I find a different fan to mount on it, it's going to be replaced, it will fit a fan from the redux series but idk if it would perform as good. I want to focus on looks for my new rig just as much as performance. I have been attracted to the BeQuiet series for some time now. Although DarkRockPro3 would fit in my case...it's just too massive. I have been considering the DarkRock3 and DarkRockAdvancedC1, the others in the DarkRock series. I would put a double fan on them.

 

However I'm also looking for top notch performance...best cooling and looks. For overclocking or not overclocking.

 

Edit: Non water cooling solutions only please.

Case considerations:

-Phanteks Enthoo Pro

-Corsair 450D

-Corsair 780T

Budget is not a big deal as this will be for my new main rig.

Swifttech H240-x looks sweet as well when it comes to AIO's.

For air cooling I have nothing for you. The best performing is ugly :P: NH-D15

Honestly the Dark rock 3 is probably the best cooler i've ever used.

 

The H240-x for performance

Best  looking is a custom loop, provided you do it well, but a H105 still looks good IMO

Considering Blue or red as main coloring. I like the BeQuiet series cause black looks sexy with everything. I will be purchasing some LED strips and colored PSU cables as well.

I've considered it, but I think it I was going to have something that massive I might go with the DarkRockPro3. This is an option though.

Yeah, I've been using water cooling for 4 years now. I just decided I don't want to deal with the maintenance anymore, and for my new build have opted to go all air cooling. I don't cool CPU or RAM liquid, and I really didn't want to get an AIO due to some quality control issues I have seen in many reviews. So I opted for air cooling.

Yeah I thought it was a pretty big nono to paint fans. I know particularly on my Noctuas it voids warranty and at least they say it can affect fan performance.

Dark rock pro 3, It's just a touch behind the best noctua coolers. 

 

 

And it doesn't look like it got shat out by someone
