  6. hey guys im working on a bit of a weird project. i've been messing with a dell d610 latitude. upgraded the ram looking into a HDD caddy to install a SSD. ive also been looking into linux to see what i could do with it. linux mint seems to be the best option. anyways im now looking into getting a D/Dock Expansion Station (M8538). https://www.ebay.com/p/130822119 my question is; what gpu should i install into it. if any Dell Latitude veterans could help me out, that would be awesome. i know it needs to be half height and of course a PCI gpu not PCIE gpu. but t

  8. new update: Pc crashed again. this time using handbrake. my only real solution is to dail back my over clock or go back to base clock. either cpu is shoeing age and i may upgrade sooner rather than later
  9. alright, update just finished an hour stream. no issues. just had to move the file destination to my ssd. thanks guys
  10. okay, Update: ran some benchmarks. cpu topped out @74c gpu topped out @77c i use OBS. it has always worked well. i use the nvidia nvench h.264 encoder CBR rate control @ 6000kbps for recording i use the same encoder lossless rate control now i think i may kinda have an idea where issues might be coming up. with my lossless rate control my recorded files are ridiculously huge. i usually set the recording path to my 8tb external HDD. its connected to a USB 3.0 port and i havent had any issues with it set up that way.

  13. hey guys, i currently game on a ryzen 7 2700 on a Asus ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING II ATX AM4 Motherboard. im curious if this motherboard can support 5000 series ryzen with a bios update. i cant find any documentation saying yes but i doubt it would. also at this point wouldnt be smarter to wait for the next socket? AM4 seems to be at its limit and i cant wait to see wait AMD has coming up.
