The story is very Bioware. Tbh my only real gripe are the bugs in the game. It should've gotten a final lick of paint before it was shipped out. Gameplay and visuals are excellent, story is interwoven with gameplay and executed mostly fine. But it kept me engaged for the 49hrs of runtime I have on it, and it still does. So it's doing something right with a gamer that is utterly jaded by the current AAA games.

But the bugs man... The floating characters, t-posing, NPC interaction prompts not showing up, enemies stuck in scenery, weird transitions from cutscenes where allies snap back to their patrol when you're done talking. SAM that repeats the same tutorials over and over again, audiocue's from quests you've already completed. You have to switch of your brain to them for it not to annoy you. I sincerely hope they give it some more love, eventhough the reviews bombed. It felt rushed out the door, unfinished.

But the review bombing seems excessive.

I 100% agreed with this. The review bombing in my opinion was very much excessive. I have been lucky enough to have encountered hardly any bugs (a couple of sound ones, and a Angaran head twist ala exorcist).

Oh, i've encountered quite a few. Quests not completing, starmap fucking up. Walking outside of the path and getting into a kill-loop because the game autosaved just before I glitched. The game IS rough around the edges, but not a 4.9/10 on metacritic.

Meme magic is simply too strong though, and if you're looking for bugs you can find them. But I'm glad I picked it up, got my money's worth. Hopefully they'll fix it, and a revisit in about a year's time will be less plagued with bugs.

I agree with this.  I'm pretty much at the mid-point of the campaign right now and the amount of crashed quests I've experienced are enough that I'm taking a break from the game for a bit.

Guess I was just lucky to not have encountered that many. Definitely nothing game breaking.

I started it again straight away as a female Ryder this time.

Spoiler

The quest "Earn your Badge" bugs out for everyone afaik. Maybe you haven't done that quest? When you go back to the Angarran dude on the nexus, he stops talking but the quest won't complete.

Just finished the game, I thought it was a good game. Glad I gave it a chance, and that Totalbiscuit offers more depth in terms of reviewing than stupid aggregate scores on Metacritic. My god, metacritic is utterly pointless. Since you don't have to own a game, i'd wager there's tons of bots on there.

Only real cons are the occasional bugs and the unskippable landing sequences. Especially when you start working on the sidemissions and get sent across the map, those transitions add up to playtime. Took me 80hours, and I still have a laundrylist of open tasks. The rest was just typical Bioware + Mass Effect, which was good enough for me.

I started playing femryder from the start. Also played femshep, because Mark Meer was a significantly less convicing VA than Jennifer Hale. I guess for me it's just habit now.

It's always very heartbreaking tbh to see a game like this rushed out the door. The game has some clever moments, some engaging moments and there is a lot to be discovered through audiologs and scanning. To have it rushed out the door in a rough state must be painful for the devs, to have all their work scolded because of a decision to not overhaul the animations.

Spoiler

Learning about the reapers on your dad's console, the fact your mom still being alive etc. That was unexpected.

It's nothing special, but it's just something I love about GTA. It's small, but it's the dust and dirt that builds up on vehicles when you use them. Love tiny details like this.

Looks good. Is it a completely new and separate game from Skyrim? I've heard of it, just never looked into it before. If I do install this, I just don't want anything to happen to my modded version of Skyrim. ;)

Your Skyrim remains untouched. The installer safes your Skyrim Installation.

There are Mods for it as well and Skyrim Mods like Smartcast for example, work too (i didnt mod it much tho, dont want risk some script errors).

The amount of Quests, Locations and Quality of the Content is unbelievable for a free Game. I will tip them some Money, thats for sure.

And yes, its a complete Game on its own. Im 40-50h in and its just awesome.  There is so much to explore and countless hidden sectrets and stuff. I love it.

There are almost no Bugs and it reach Skyrim level and even top that more than once. The World is smaller, but there is enough to do for easy 100h. Depending on your Playstyle (Im 2x1 Hand and Bow with stealth and critt chance). I explore every corner and turn every stone. And the Games rewards you often for that.

And there are Set Items :)

Have Fun. Have in mind that you cant learn everything. You have to choose what kind of Hero you wanna play and learn Skills that support your playstyle. You cant play a sneaking Mage with Plate Armor ;) Every skillpoint counts. The Enemys are getting tough at some point.

@MEC-777

There are 3 Main Trees with each three sub trees

Here is what i skilled so far. Some Skills have 1-3 lvl.

I ignored the Mage tree completly. Its all about physical damage and surprise (and lockpicking of course). Thats the way i play TES since i can remember. I love sneaking through dungeons and listen to enemys before i slaughter them ^^
