Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag capped to 60 FPS!

Hi guys, so I just installed my two GTX 980s and I tried to play Assassin's Creed Black Flag with all settings maxed out of course. But I noticed that the FPS would always go only to 60FPS and not higher. Meanwhile the GPUs are incredibly understressed with 40-50% usage each. This might not sound like a problem but the framerate sometimes drops down to 40-45 when I'm free running in Havanna for example. VSYNC is turned off globally and also in-game.

So do you know a way to improve performance for this game?

What is your monitors refresh rate anyway? And if you're @ 1080p 2 980s is a bit overkill...

Check your documents for an .inin file called assassin 4 or something and change the refresh rate see if that helps.

Not if you want really steady 144fps with highest settings...

Don't answer without reading my post. It's overkill @ 1080p depending on the refresh rate. If he is on a 60hz monitor then there would be no point to going over 60 fps making this problem obsolete.

Clearly you have misunderstood, that was under the presumption that he is using 60hz hence the 60 fps cap. I said

Ubisoft's idea of 'optimization' is locking the maximum attainable FPS and image quality of a game to what the consoles can do.

Solution: don't. buy. Ubisoft. games.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.
