is there a problem with my cpu?

Go to solution Solved by WoodenMarker,

i dont think it picks random numbers witch seems like its doing it but for real though do you know how could make it proper 7.9 or at least 7.7 do i need some drivers for my cpu because i didnt install any since windows automaticly did this. but could it be that my cpu is now on stage like GPU after fresh install. it works but poorly. dont get me wrong 7.6 is ok but how could i get everything i can from my pc and how do i check if my drivers is all good

Drivers aren't the issue. The WEI really just sucks as a benchmarking tool and you shouldn't pay much attention to it.

hello everyone. i dont know if my cpu is working on full potecial. windows experriance index is showing 7.6 (7.9 is max) on my cpu its i5 4690k. i wouldnt go here if it wasnt odd but i5 2500k shows 7.7 and thats super odd because its two generations newer. also overclocking it to 4.3ghz didnt change anything

why is it so low? considering its price generation and all those things

Basically, the Windows Experience Index sucks as a proper benchmarking tool.

Yup this is so true. On Windows 7 it was 0-7.9 in Windows 8 they changed it to 1-9.9 and in windows 8.1 its removed (still in CLI)

You think that's bad? Vista was worse. It goes from a 1 to a 5.9. My EVO topped it out (and I only get 140MB/s reads/writes, I think). This is all on my netbook, BTW (which is in my sig).

sequential reads writes or random? because if its random 4k your ssd is really good. also runing speed test for a drive same as os run is increadibly inaccurate especially on windows vista as this operating system punish hard drive hardly.personally i think vista is worse than windows 8.0 as it turns out windows 8 runs better than vista on computers from 2007

Not sure. Magician was only able to get 140MB/s. However, it's nice and happy now in my rig.
