I think it looks kind of cool, nothing special to be honest. Yes, it's powerful etc. but very few apps will utilize it, so I'm not too bothered by it.

The screen is definitely way too big for my taste.

Personally I think anything up to 1440p on a phone is okay if you have a massive screen like the Nexus 6 does, but anything more than that I think is stupid. You can't even tell the difference after that and you're just making your phone work harder to power all those pixels.

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.

I love the size but i dont like the shape. I will give it a fair shake though when it comes out, i'll mess with it a bit and see what I really think of it.

I'm much more disappointed about the price than about the screen.

It's too big and imo too expensive, I'd rather get the 2nd gen Moto X if I want that style of a phone.

I'm disappointed by the size and the cost. It's far too big for most users, which annoys me as I've got smaller hands than most, yet even those with large hands will need to use both of their limbs to use it, which to me goes against the use of it, as I'm sure I'm not alone in preferring to use a device one handed, especially when I'm out running or on my bike (I can't cycle for long with no hands on the bars due to needing to turn corners).

The cost of it also stuns me, as the nexus line is meant to be there, at least from what I've seen, to allow people to get the best stock experience of android for a lower price than a flagship, but also to encourage people to develop for android as well. I intended to pick up a nexus 6 for this very reason, but due to cost and size I will now be looking at the OPO and Moto X instead.

It is huge. Large screens are fine and all if the body of the phone is kept in check. There are a couple of other 6" phones that did a better job of keeping the bezels thin, and the phone smaller.
That said, I will get an in hand feel before I pass complete and final judgment on it. The curved back might actually make a pretty big difference when compared to say the Ascend Mate 7.

I hope the build quality is better than that of the Moto X 2014, that phone has some back issues.

The biggest disappointment for me is the price, but we'll see how it is when it actually hits the Play Store. Maybe they'll drop it a little after initial release.

Right now, without feeling it, I think there are better phones that offer more; expandable storage, finger print readers, IR, etc.

Note 4, Ascend Mate 7 both come to mind.

At least it has wireless charging.

Honestly it's dumb, now there's nothing with flagship specs at a competitive price point unless you want to get last year's Nexus 5, or hunt down an invite to get the OnePlus One

I think they're latching onto the popularity of the line, seeing if they can make more money with it than they have been.

This is likely the first time that Google won't be subsidizing the device. On the rest, they were essentially losing money.

If you look at what you're getting, it's actually not that bad of a price. A little high, but it's currently one of the few highest end phones out there.

It's only ~$175 more than a Moto X, if you include the fact that it comes with the turbo charger.

There are quite a few Chinese companies with excellent phones. Xaiomi, Huawei, OnePlus (if they're your thing), etc.

The Nexus 5 is still very flagship. I imagine they'll keep it around for those who want a cheaper device.

I like the curved shape. I especially like the rounded screen edges; something that not many phones have today. The size is okay because unlike the iP6+ it manages to pack everything into a pocketable format. The specs are killer, only bad thing is the price tag.

who cares...

Well it seems as though LG and Google were helping each other with device subsidization, as the HTC and Samsung made Nexus devices that came before the N4 were just as expensive. I would be glad to have a Xiaomi or Huawei but the thing is with them is really undefined Android updates and ROM support, unlike the instant updates and the broad spectrum of what's available for Nexus devices.

They're keeping the Nexus 5 around, but with OnePlus invites growing more plentiful (and cheaper to buy if you need one instantly) imo it's just not worth the full price anymore. Google should have done a price cut on it, even 50 bucks off would attract buyers.

I personally find the Nexus 6 to be a huge disappointment. The screen i way too big at a whopping 5.9 inches, the price is way higher than the Nexus 5's $349. For the screen size to be even considered reasonable it needs to be less than 5.5 inches and to even consider the Nexus 6 as my next upgrade it needs to be less than $500.

Having said that the specifications are really good. It's running the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 and a 1440p display (whether that actually necessary). Not to mention running Android Lollipop.

I feel like I'm the only one who thinks that Steve Jobs had the size thing down perfect for most normal people, if I had to buy a phone tomorrow, I'd probably go with an iPhone 4s but they don't support them anymore do they? Sure I see people who have large hands that can use a Note no problem, but most of us just wants a phone that won't die in a day, and that you're able to use with ONE hand -.-

Sales of the iPhone 6 and flagship Android devices would disagree with you.

After reevaluating my first impressions, I will still say that it is huge and not for me(at least at the moment), but its not that big. Technobuffalo posted a picture of one side by side a iPhone 6+ and it shows that they are about the same size. I have a GN2 which is about the same size as the i6+, so despite the large screen size the small bezels keep the overall size down. Pair this with the front facing speakers and beast specs, this is one heck of a device. I would get one, but I have my eyes set on the Blackberry Q5 right now, and I'm planning on using it as "training wheels" for the Classic releasing next month.

Also I don't care about the price of the Nexus 6. Sure its $650, but so is every other full fledged flagship on the market. Sure the Nexus 5 was $350, but it was also built out of plastic, had a low end screen, and had other quirks that brought the price down. The Oneplus One was also $350, if you can get your hands on one. Oneplus cant even do a proper release and I remember all of the bugs when it was first released(which no other $600+ flagship was that bad).

The screen is a total deal breaker.

If it was price slightly aggressively ($500) and the screen was 5 inch ,  it would be ALOT better
