Yes its mini pcie u can get adapters for your desktop the second one is not msata im pretty sure its mini pcie aswell just has more room for bigger cards.

 

Edit: actually first one is micro PCIe and the second is mini PCIe

1. Yeah that's Mini PCI-E, you can get a Mini PCI-E to x1 PCI-E adapter, Intel does this for their 7260 AC/BT card for the desktop.

2. Both Mini PCI-E and mSata use the same connectors but are electronically different but some ports are both but considering that it's full length it's likely just mSata.
