Power failure lost work in word

AustinM
Go to solution Solved by Geekazoid,

ususally there is an auto save. if not, you've done goofed.

That's right, usually there is. I've had this happen to me and, whilst not all my work was saved, have found a good chunk of my work still saved.

The autosave only works, after the first save. Always click save when making a doc. If you did not do that, its gone

They would have some kind of auto save that would save your work, if this was to occur frequently then i suggesting getting a UPS so that you won't lose your work when your working on your computer or something else that might be important too.

Every couple of minutes/every paragraph hit save. Spending 2 seconds every couple of minutes to save > losing an hour's worth of work.
