Htc one m8 Google play

Go to solution Solved by Aniallation,

Ok this is probably a very stupid question but I live in Canada and all htc one m8's bought on a two year plan are the default ones with the sense 6.0 skin. I want the Google play edition and my question is, is there some way convert the m8 to stock android. And also will it affect a warrenty or some jazz. I know it's probably a stupid question but whatever. Thx

Edit: yes I know I could buy the phone and then the plan but I would prefer to get it on a two year contact

You can convert a regular M8 to Google Play edition.

By rooting, getting S-OFF, getting SuperCID, and installing the Google Play edition OS

Rooting and S-OFF voids warranty. However it can be reversed if you need to send it in for a hardware issue, say the camera or speakers stop working.
