Game audio not being recorded from ASUS Xonar DG sound card

kizoku_95

I am currently using asus xonar dg sound card as my primary audio output device and the functioning of the device is as expected but when I try to record gameplay from BF3 or COD MW3, no audio is being recorded ! But audio when played from media player is being recorded properly.

This issue is pretty annoying as I cannot record any kind usable gameplay footage without audio....

I am also running the latest drivers from the Asus website.

Can someone help me with this problem..... Is there some kind of a issue with my card ?

softwares tried for recording--- OBS, Action game capture, FRAPS , non of the recordings have sound.

I have properly selected the audio source and tried different settings in both the recording app and the asus xonar control centre as well ! None of them have helped

In one of the tabs at the bottom (i think mixer, not too sure) there should be a screen with a bunch of sliders. One of them says 'record' and there are small boxes you can check to choose what it records. I can't really show you cause im not at home and I cant take a screenshot of it :(

Have you tried turning off GX mode?

Verne I know this was a VERY long time ago, but I just wanted to make an account and tell you that you saved my life today. I have been searching for a fix to a similar problem for 2 days straight now. This fixed it. I owe you my life xoxoxoxo
