Since this is first and only time I have seen this sort of oops, I am going to say its more of a one time isolated incident..Just call them up, they will get it sorted out..

It could be that they had to make so many cases that they didn't left the glue dry properly, they just slapped the foam (correctly) and installed the side panel on a standing case; gravity did the rest.

 

 

Fractal has been slacking lately.

IMO fractal specializes in budget cases. You get what you pay for.

I should have mentioned this in the original post but this case is not new and it turns out it's not even a Define R4, It's a R3 from a NCIX prebuilt way back when. I wouldn't expect this type of mistake in a new R4.
