Good price/performance amplifier for PC?

DinckelMan

Sup tech buddies.

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD650's and they need a TON of power to work. I don't have a bunch of useless piles of dollars to spend so i'm looking for something decent to use with my PC.

I heard some good things about FiiO amps, but dont really understand what i need.

Just to remind - HD650's are 300+ Ohm headphones.

Thanks in advance

Budget?

Aside from Fiio, I heard that Mayflower and Schiit have some good stuff... Haven't had the chance to get anything from any of them though...

Go for the Monoprice dac/amp instead of the Fiio. It's about $20 more but it's got a 1/4in socket, more features at the back, and doesn't have the crappy microusb of the E10K. The E10 was discontinued so you can't get it for a reasonable price anymore. The E10K is the new version.

I looked up E10K and i'm not sure if that's what i want. They recommend using 16-150 Ohm headphones with it, dont think it will be enough in my situation

So i checked Schiit Magni and the Monoprice amp. They are similar price, both have good reviews.

Do you guys have anything to say about them?
