So I have a problem with my mic while on team speak/ skype. It only happens while in game. Only tried League of legends so far. The problem is a loud squealing described by friends to sound like a cat dying, or a dog going nuts..... Im not sure what the cause is or how to fix. Im certain it't not my microphone because i have tested 4 different headsets and it also happens when i use a webcam mic. I have tried using front mic port, motherboard and sound card but all have the same squeling problem so i assume its something on my computer. PLS help

Using a Asus DG 5.1 sound card.

EDIT: The squealing carries on even if i mute all sound completely. Only time it stops is if i ult + tab out of game.

Solution: don't use the webcam mic.

Honest: I have no idea. It sounds like it could be feed back, a driver problem, or just junk equipment but that's a hard one to diagnos if you haven't had it personally. Good luck.

Use the onboard sound chip, without the DG. Can't think of anything else that would be able to cause the problem as you have already canceled out the microphone and ports.

The only reason i used the webcam mic was because it was usb and i wanted to see if it was a messed up mic port. And if im using headphones im not sure how the webcam mic would pick up feedback. Only thing that comes to mind is drivers.

Could be your phone if it's close to the mic, my friends phone if it was like 5 feet within his mic would make squealing noises.
