they skip the desktop 800 series.

@Neoshooter, they only did 800 on mobile, and skipped it on desktop. Can't remember the reason, but they've done it before.

Pretty sure they skipped the 800 for desktop to not confuse people since the 800m series was released months ago.

the 800 series cards reviews are in the playlist with the 300 series reviews. thats right, theyre not a thing. they skipped them

Apparently people got confused...

the m at the end makes it very very difficult for people to tell the difference..

they skipped it because the the 800m series is still kepler and they did not want to mix the 800m kepler with 800 desktop maxwel

 

like my laptop has a 675mx with is a kepler but the 675m is a fermi guess just did not want to have to deal with that again with the Maxwel only stuff like MFAA

Not all the moblie chips are GK104 though. The 830M and 840M are GM108; the 850M is GM107; and the 860M has both GM107 and GK104 variants.

Did I completely miss the release of Nvidia's 800 series GPU's or did they just not release it? I see all the videos on the newer 900 series, and the 800m series but no desktop models... :huh: attachicon.gifconfused1.jpeg

Yeah, they just didn't do it, but It seems to me like the 900 series is the 800

The 300 series did exist, but it was OEM-only.

 

i know, the 800 are too, i sell them out of my basement.
