Hi LTT friends, I'm going off to college soon, and I've been considering leaving my gaming desktop days behind me for now. I was wondering if you really smart people could give me some advice for looking at new laptops. I really appreciate crisp screen resolutions and beautiful content consumption and super portability. Many things I'm looking for in my new investment would include things like High resolution panel 8GB RAM minimum Ethernet port preferably backlit keyboard elegant design (nothing like a ROG laptop) at least 1 USB 3.0 slot HDMI, Thunderbolt, or any Display type Port for external monitors (Though I could just get an adapter/Dock) I was able to view my friends XPS 13 2015 model and was thoroughly impressed, but I'd like a bigger screen with a higher resolution, even though QHD+ was amazeballs. Are there any alternatives you guys have in mind? I'd also like to know what bags and wireless mice you'd use for them (or ill find a thread elsewhere on this forum for the peripherals) I look forward to your help Thanks all, Neoshooter

If you're anything like me, or many other tech consumers, you've probably come across devices that have been useful, utter junk, or the greatest thing you could have hoped to use. With all tech, namely phones, computer components, or printers, they eventually become dated, worn out, or tragically broken. Maybe its just me, but I have used some technology that has served me well beyond all expectations and when its time to discard that broken equipement I can't help but have this vacant feeling of not giving it a proper send off. MY PROPOSAL: What if there was someone who could create a Tech Eulogy webpage/Subreddit/SubForum to commemorate all the useful tech people have appreciated and never got a chance to give it a proper send off with a note of appreciation and maybe a picture of said device. Would anyone like this idea or contribute? Or has this idea already been created? Just an idea I would like to share with the tech community. -Additionally- What if that webpage also had connections for community recycling/repurpose programs in your area to be environmentally conscious when disposing of your admired tech Thanks, have a wonderful day.

Did I completely miss the release of Nvidia's 800 series GPU's or did they just not release it? I see all the videos on the newer 900 series, and the 800m series but no desktop models...

FAKE LINUSTECHTIPS YOUTUBE MEASSAGE TAKE WARNING!
Neoshooter replied to zxcvbnmmssdh's topic in General Discussion
I also received this message after Linus and Luke posted on twitter about the fake messages going out. Sucks, I was a little bit excited at first thinking i won something -
Ive found that proprietary headsets like my Audio Techinca ATHM50's (Or whatever your taste is) and a dedicated mic (I have a Blue Yeti) work in that you have 2 high quality items meant for added clarity, but I've also heard that the convenience of a 2 in 1 is something people often prefer and because it costs less. I'm just sharing my preference though.

The beautiful case backed by some awesome specs for what id use it for, its obviously compact and stylish, I'd like one

In this article posting from the geek, a company by the name of "Communication Technology" has released a candy bar sized device with powerful specs for its form factor. Given the choices of a celeron @1.4 GHz, and i3 @1.6GHz and an i7 @2.8GHZ with a standard of 4GB RAM upgradeable to 8GB, what possibilities do devices like these have in the future, I'd love to see a review on this More information at http://www.geek.com/chips/raydget-slimbox-pc-is-the-size-of-a-chocolate-bar-1596477/ and the company website http://www.ctcom.com.tw/Computers/HomeAndOfficeUse/RaydgetSlimBoxIV

I think the HTC M8 is awesome because of the front speakers. The internals and everything are amazing, I just wish the camera was better, that was a little bit of a deal breaker for me

I see where you're coming from, but audiophile grade equipment is not really something that makes or breaks a product for me. I may have misused the term "surround" so in clarification, what is a good desktop audio set for music, not necesarrily a home theater
-
Can you lovely users recommend a surround sound audio setup I can install around my room? This will mainly be used for music and movies. I'd like it to have a good price:quality ratioseeing as how my budget is approx. 300 USD

I wasn't able to search by state.

I'm completely new to forums so I apologize if I posted this wrong. I wanted to know where its possible to find local League of Legends tournaments in my state for my team. In my case, Florida. Thank you all! <3
