First watercool build

Here's my first watercooled build:

 

Computing parts---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 

Case: Corsair 800D

 

Processor: Intel Core i7-3930K

 

GPU: GTX680

 

Ram: Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer (16GB)

 

SSD: Samsung 840 Pro (128GB for boot disk)

 

HDD: Seagate 2TB

 

Power Supply: Corsair AX860i (with Corsair individually sleeved cable kit)

 

Disk drive: Asus BD/DVD/CD burner

 

Sound Card: Asus Xonar STX

 

Watercooling Parts------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 

CPU bock: XSPC Raystorm

 

GPU block: Heatkiller, and Heatkiller backplate

 

Resevoir: Aqualis glass resevoir

 

Pump: MCP 655

 

Fittings: Bitspower

 

Tubing: Primochill Advanced LRT

 

Radiators:

 

Fans: Gelid and Silverstone

 

Fan Controller: Bitfenix

 

Coolant: Currently Primochill ICE (brite uv green)

That looks great! I've been thinking about getting the XSPC Raystorm block as well. How easy is it to change the LED colors?

you should just sleeve the 2 cables down at the pci slots.

Very nice.  I agree with Akula.  Just a little more cable management/sleeving and it'll be great.

If you can solder/heatshrink, changing the LED colors isn't too difficult. LEDs can be had pretty cheaply on FrozenCPU

To be honest, this build is expencive, but not good.

Bad cable management. Also, did not like the watercooling loop that much. Espesially the tubing. It looks like you poured dirty water in there.

Have to agree with you. Just too much bling bling. More simplicity and tidyness and it'll be pretty cool. First time I see aqualis res in action and I like it!

I have the Raystorm as well and i love it! You get blue LEDs in the box and all you havet to do is buy whatever colour of LEDs an just plug them in instead of the standard blue ones. :P

I have the Raystorm as well and i love it! You get blue LEDs in the box and all you havet to do is buy whatever colour of LEDs an just plug them in instead of the standard blue ones. :P

 

Cool! Sounds easier than I thought it might be.
