  1. Anybody ever seen a pump decide to run backwards? Mine has done so and it pushing water slowly the wrong way around the loop. Previously (for a year or two) it had run very well in the correct direction.
  2. If I understand correctly the OS will see it as a HDD, however it will be faster than a standard HDD
  3. Supposedly they work at the hardware level and the OS just sees it as a normal disk, so whatever OS you use shouldn't notice- the experience is supposed to be seamless, but I have not personally put one into a system yet.
  4. Have you seen these? http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Gaming-2-5-Inch-Internal-ST1000LX001/dp/B01C4W2AK4/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1461110190&sr=1-1&keywords=laptop+sshd
  5. I would recommend getting a USB extension cord and running it toward the router before changing the antenna design; something like this could make a huge difference: http://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Extension-Cable--Male--Female/dp/B00NH11R3I/ref=sr_1_8?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1461109993&sr=1-8&keywords=usb+extension+cable
  6. I am running a Vera3 home controller and Z-WAVE compatible products. I have most things connected and really like the setup. The Vera/Zwave setup is more all inclusive than just buying a Nest, for example. Zwave is a 900Mhz control protocol. Now that most of us don't use cordless phones anymore, that's a perfect place in the spectrum. http://getvera.com/
  7. ...That's actually the first fair criticism of amd I've heard on this forum lol The water is supposed to be blood red- it runs a bit on the magenta side tho. I will keep it as is until it's time to change it at which point I might do something different like a Mayhems pastel, but I'm not sure yet.
  8. Powered up and getting started with software
  9. getting that cable management going
  10. Let's get some fluid in there and start leakcheck. Not a huge fan of the adapter that connects the pump to the res base. It's only a smooth surface with o-rings. Push on and done. No structure.
  11. Getting those tubes in there. First rigid tubing attempt. Every piece with more than one bend had to be remade at least once. And yes, the slight bend in the tube from the front 240 to the CPU block is critical for proper fitment.
  12. The top 360 radiator had to be changed out for an slim version due to fitment issues with the top of the motherboard. That thin radiator was my last purchase from frozencpu. I am fortunate to have gotten the order.
  13. more wires getting started
