I had a Mushkin Joule 1000 watt psu go wrong on me as soon as I used it but it is still under warranty and I still have to send it back.  I have been delaying doing this forever cuz I am afraid to hear how much the shipping will be to send it back to Mushkin !

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

Fans going out usually causes other stuff to die. Fans have caused my GPU and power supply to fail.

Most of the times I've seen bad motherboards there were blown capacitors.

RAM, Hard drives, and Optical drives seem like they can go bad any time they decide with no reason why.

The only good Dell case I've ever seen was one on fire, really did the design justice :P

Had a couple hdds over the years die and other simple things. The worst was my CPU fan incident.

Had a AMD Athlon 2100xp+. Was in a game when the heatsink fan died. Had so many loud case fans I couldn't hear it. No over clock on the CPU. But if anyone remembers those things they ran ridiculously hot with good cooling. Game slowed down to a crawl and then I could smell it burning. Took the board with it. I was really pissed at cooler master for a long time over that. Still refuse to buy anything made by them. Only got 6 months out of that system.

I've killed literally everything on that list.

You may henceforth refer to me as the Hardware Death Bringer.

Tell me how you go about killing your cases, my preferred weapon is a car.

Vice grips, Pliers, Screwdriver.

I'll give some examples of my experiences (excluding spontaneous death)...

Cases: Mostly the plastic front panels. Just destroying the plastic clips on them.

CPU: Always the bent pins, always.

GPU: Torn from various laptops (Those things are NOT meant to come out).

Ram: These two laptop sticks were wedged awkwardly in this plastic draw, I pulled so hard trying to get it out I bent one stick  into nearly a semi-circle.

Harddrive: Screwdriver hammered straight through.

CD drive: Pulled a few apart in my early days just to see how they work.

PSU: Mostly spontaneous death.

MoBo: Loose 24 pin, pushed it against the back plate. (I can't remember if that one killed the PSU also).

Fan: Over volted may of these poor bastards.

Headphones: Chewed through a cable or two.

Mice: Mostly spontaneous. Killed one trying to integrate it with a glove.

Screens:

LCD: Didn't kill it, but for some insane reason I felt like I should hold a small blowtorch up to my laptop screen. It did indeed produce a small melted patch.

CRT: RIP the CRT monitor that met it's demise at the hands of me, my friend and several hammers.

That's just a few of my many, many components that have met their fate at my hands.

Keyboards: Mostly spontaneous.

Webcams: Collateral damage during laptop tear downs.

Power/Ethernet/USB/Various leads: Stripped to form adapters/stripped wires.

USB sticks: Snapped a few connectors.

UPS: I am yet to kill a UPS. There is still time.

Laptop Batteries: Torn apart just to see what's in there.

Printers: Tried to clean one after ants nested in it... Nope...

Game Controller: Spontaneous mostly.

Floppy drive: Same as CD.

CD/Floppy disks: Scratches and just for the hell of it.

Sound Cards: Spontaneous mostly, think I tore one up for shits n giggles.

Network Cards: See above.

USB Cards: See above.

I think that sums it up.

I'll add more if I think of any, but that's pretty much everything inside a computer.

I'm actually pretty good with my hardware :P

99% of the stuff I destroy is 10 yr old junk I pull from computers I've been given.

I take a hell of a lot of care with hardware I actually pay for/need. XD

Been lucky over the last few years. Last time I had an issue was like 2007 when I had an OCZ power supply go out. And before that, I had a DFI Lanparty SLI-DR mobo fail, then I jumped to Intel and have not looked back.

Mainboard of a Galaxy S2 was bricked by a bad micro USB cable, just a week out of warranty. Would have cost as much as a new GS2 to get the mainboard replaced, because phones have pretty much everything soldered to the mainboard.

Check out my Trading Card Inventory, I probably have that one card you need

Well i just snapped a keyboard in two. Crap, so i was playing a game then i leaned back and there was a table with a keyboard there, it hit my funny bone and i threw it on the GROUND. I surprised when the whole case shattered instead of a few keys falling out. In case your wondering hitting my funny bone is like when you shoot a goliath in borderlands 2 its not clever and people and objects get hurt.

The optical drive on my Xbox 360 died after not being used for about 3 months, I have no idea how it stopped working, it just did. Luckily nothing has broken on me yet, saying that I have only had my PC for about 4 months.
