Damn. I wanted to SLI my 780, but now it doesn't appear worth it unless I buy second hand.

I don't want to get a 970 either.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

I love how much they just cockblocked the 290. This is too funny.

Just be glad that AMD is still there, or we'd all be paying 700 bucks for a 970.

Hopefully, in several days AMD is going to sell their R9 290 and 290X to $270-300 and $370-400  :D. PRICE WAR! CHEAP HIGH-END GPU FOR EVERYONE!

Will wait in 1 - 2 weeks if AMD isnt going to put down the price, I'm getting a 970, otherwise R9 290 if it's much cheaper  :P

A store here in Italy put up the Asus 980 for sale. The prices are ridiculously above MSRP for the reference design.Have a look:

Asus 980 reference:

http://www.drako.it/drako_catalog/product_info.php?products_id=15173 630 Euro, 80 euro above MSRP

The EVGA 980 SC Reference design goes for 600 euro while it should be 570 euro.

Hopefully caseking has MSRP prices instead of inflated ones for no reason.
