Which monitor to invest in?

theelitegamer

Hey guys, building a new rig and my old monitor have died on me (RIP) so... which new monitor to get now? Is there a big difference between 1920 x 1080 or should I go higher? I'm using a 750 ti so keep that in mind. Thanks!

Go for 1080p if you have 750 ti. You wont be able to play games on higher resolutions with good framerate.

Yea, you can find it a lot cheaper. Here in Denmark it retails for about 200$ and that's incl. 25% tax here. :) (You should be able to find it below 150$)

The NVIDIA GTX 750Ti is no slouch. I know many people like to play at 60+ FPS, but all games are easily playable at 30-40 FPS. So, if you think that you wanna go with a 2560x1440 res monitor then I say - go for it! I know this answer won't be popular with some but I'm just speaking reality here. :D

Oh.....and please read the red text in my sig below. :)

ON A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM THESE LTT FORUMS. WILL BE BACK ON NOVEMBER 5th.

I never once in my life had played a game in 60 fps. Laptop owner for life (crys himself to sleep at night though) so I'm used to everything at low. Plus I'm only playing Dota, but we'll see. 2560 x 1440 is more expensive.
