Help With selecting right parts for a PC Build

I am looking for some help with selecting parts for my PC I have a Friend helping me with the build but I am still a bit worried about my decisions of the parts because I am a noob in the PC World. I am getting this so I can keep my laptop for school and have a gaming and editing based desktop.

Questions

1. Where should I spend less/more money on parts in the PC?

2. Do I need an i7 If I am looking into graphic design and video rendering in the future?

3. Is the power supply to high wattage?

4. Do I need a better GPU to play games like battlefield and CS:GO at 1080p 60 FPS?

5. What is a good 1080p monitor?

6. I am hoping to get a Corair K70 RGB Keyboard Is this good keyboard?

Information

I am in Australia So I wont be able to get some of the deals from the USA and Canada

This is all from my money I am saving from working and I cant really go over $1600 AUD on the build(not including peripherals).

Here you go (No MIR/Promo)

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

1. Spend lots on graphics and less on case fans(or even not at all), get an decent air cooler like a 212 EVO or get an AIO like H100i.

2. Yes, and you'll probably need more than 8GB of RAM if the renders are heavy.

3. Note: Single GPU=500w is fine Dual GPU=750w-100w depending on model.

4. At 1080 60fps a 280x can do max settings or get an NVidia counterpart(GTX 770).

5. Preferably IPS since you'll also do video/graphics editing.

6. HELL YES

Here's a sample build since I can't see your list @tulstra

Hate to say it bud but your link is a dead end.

Anyway it all depends on budget and use. If you are making a computer for webbrowsing you don't need an i7 Extreme CPU like the 5960x. However be reasonable with what you want.

For anyone serious with graphic designing and wanting to go for a good system without spending $5000, I'd probably go with a i7-5820k, 16-32GB of Ram and a GTX780) however going with a Z97 Motherboard such as the ROG Hero, i7-4790k, 16-32GB of Ram and a GTX780 [or soon to be released 900 series] would work too, especially if you want to be gaming.

Once you update the link I'll change my reply to better suite your PCPartPicker list.

You should get an i7 if you want to render and stuff...

@vern021 has a good list of parts but maybe you can add a 250GB SSD, although you are already at your limit  (this will add about 120-150$ but will make your PC quite a bit more userfriendly)
