Help With selecting right parts for a PC Build

I am looking for some help with selecting parts for my PC I have a Friend helping me with the build but I am still a bit worried about my decisions of the parts because I am a noob in the PC World. I am getting this so I can keep my laptop for school and have a gaming and editing based desktop. Questions 1. Where should I spend less/more money on parts in the PC? 2. Do I need an i7 If I am looking into graphic design and video rendering in the future? 3. Is the power supply to high wattage? 4. Do I need a better GPU to play games like battlefield and CS:GO at 1080p 60 FPS? 5. What is a good 1080p monitor? 6. I am hoping to get a Corair K70 RGB Keyboard Is this good keyboard? Information I am in Australia So I wont be able to get some of the deals from the USA and Canada This is all from my money I am saving from working and I cant really go over $1600 AUD on the build(not including peripherals). I am looking for quality quiet 120mm and 140mm fans that are coloured red to go with a build and I am not to sure about what fans are better because this will be my first build and I am a PC noob. It would be good for them to be available in Australia so I don't have to pay for shopping.

I love the videos from Linus and all The Member of LinusMediaGroup And watch them all the time. My favourite videos are the big PC builds and the WAN Show, Even though I cant stream the WAN show because of bad Australian Internet I still love it every time its uploaded. -
