So with all the new rumors of the upcoming maxwell 900 series cards im getting the itch to upgrade only problem is do i go with a 8370/8350 and keep my same motherboard or do i go all out and get a 4690k with some z97 motherboard. id like to get some opinions since either will be a fairly good upgrade right now im running an fx6100 and will probably need a new processor soon anyway since mine is starting to show its age it doesnt really hold a decent overclock any more and i dont want to bottleneck the new gpu i will be putting in it.

its GE (pause) TechNicks

Hold on to your cash for now. Put it aside, and add to it when you can, and after the next line of hardware comes out, make a decision then.

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

Arguing with religious people is like explaining to your mother that online games can't be paused...

well its a bit hard to say realy.

i would personaly buy a new GPU first, just trow it in your current system.

And look how it performs in the games you play.

You allready have decent mobo.

If you are not satisfied with that, or the gpu gets massively bottlenecked.

Then you can allways concider to upgrade to intel.

the 4690K is offcourse better for gaming, But it still highly depends on which games you play.
