I see that this is the Highest single GTX 970 card for Firestrike. Awesome score.

 

With my run I'm only off your Graphic fps by less than 1 frame

but with your 5820k just blows my i5 4690k away for the rest of the score.

 

But I do have the highest score for an i5 4690k & single GTX 970 combo.

I don't think I could personally outlay the extra $1200 min here to go 2011-3 CPU, Board & DDR4 ram.

 

SLI my 970 will come 1st..    Awesome scores thou

Thanks.  All of the FS SLI scores are #1 overall scores against 2 x 970 systems on the Firestrike Leaderboards.  First time I've been able to notch a #1 spot like that.  Pretty happy.  = P

With a custom bios, it's not hard for a lot of them to achieve clocks that high.  There are exceptions, where hardware limitations keep them from competing with very high clocks...the Galax cards (except the HOF edition) and the STRIX come to mind immediately.

Yeah, I'm pretty limited on these cards(well, the bottom card is my limiter. Max I can push is like 1090mhz on the core, and 1810mhz on the memory.

On Maxwell?  Or your Kepplers?  If you're only getting those clocks on Maxwell....find a way to RMA it, because something's wrong with it.  lol

No, this on my keplers. My 980 I could hit 1509/2051 stock volts.

It finally showed up!!! Soooo much copper!!

Here is my first run. Only bumped the core and mem slider up. No voltage increase yet. Happy with the GPU Score!! Probably wont push it on air. My block should be here early next week!!

Haha. The copper is coming off!! It is sexy for sure. Everything about this card including the accessories, t shirt and box are top notch!! I'm very impressed.

The box and t-shirt are very nice. Wish my 980 KPE had the copper 'sink.
