Hmm Matrix/Classy/K|NGP|N?

Matrix cards will force me into a R5E so I can have more voltage control and I'll be ordering additional OC Panels if I go that route.

What do you guys think I should do?

Matrix are not trust worthy man! Just go with the best for OCing. EVGA only!! Get one KINGPIN or Classified to start with.

Good point, plus the Matrix has to be shorted out to enable LN2 mode.

I can only draw a cross reference to my STRIX. It was supposed to have the superior VRM to my reference designs and yet they blow that card out of the water with no issues. Don't get me wrong m8 Asus disappointed me beyond measruments, the STRIX the X99 Deluxe... I payed a lot of premium for products that aren't premium!

Yeah I feel you on that one, only thing that has me really considering the Matrix is its the cheapest out of all of them and has a failsafe button if the card can't recover back to stock clock speeds.

And usually you get what you pay for my friend :). Buy the right thing in the first place or you might ending up buying twice. The VRAM of my STRIX gives up when I oc it with a no limits BIOS @ round about +500MHz, one of my reference cards with a no limits BIOS goes almost to +800MHz, what a joke right? Not really since the STRIX costs more than the ref design.

Well with memory temps can play a huge factor with memory OC's, and that is something almost every manufacture ignores, even my DCUII 650ti boost would only hit 1400 memory if it wasn't for getting the memory down to 15C

AND I JUST SAW Dildor's K|NGP|N yeah and fuck it 4 of them are gonna be ordered fucking god all mighty is that card gorgeous.

From the majority of results i've seen from Kingin owners on air they all get beat by my classified. Those cards should only be ran on LN2

You guys should really stop thinking in air OCing such GPUs as Classifieds or Kingpins. Full cover watercooling with a large custom loop should be the very bottom line for these cards. I say it again I can OC a reference design from launch day to 1700MHz on air... not boost stable for more than 15-20 secs but that´s just due to the stock heatsink´s insufficient cooling of the VRM and chip.

No one is talking about OCing them on air, I was just talking about them in general, if the K|NGP|N card needs a 300$ EVBot to get additional voltage for it I'll straight up pass on it since that is stupid even with Kingpin's AIR/Water optimized BIOS its still locked at 1.212v.

For $300+ makes want to pass pretty hard on it. Even with it being one of the best cards for OC on the market right now, 1.212v shouldn't of been the voltage max even through Precision X Dildor can only get 1.212v(in a skype call with him now)

Well I´m not so surprised about that TBH. This card is really made for extreme OCing and extreme OCing requires a lot of professional gear. Like I have written many times getting a card is the one thing, having the right PC to feed it and all necessary tools with it to make it a high flyer is another thing.

Many peoples think a reference design can´t break records, and that might be true for LN2 setups. But for air and watercooling there are certain scenarios where you benefit from having a reference design because everything is simpler and better accessable.

Yeah it's making me question on weather or not the 3200$ for 4 of them for benching would be worth it or not if its gonna need the EVBot and the Classy Tool to break 1.212v.

You just posted in the your previous that you can do it with the classy tool. ..?

Yeah it's making me question on weather or not the 3200$ for 4 of them for benching would be worth it or not if its gonna need the EVBot and the Classy Tool to break 1.212v.

Well question, if you spend already 3200USD why bother about a 300 bucks tool ;) ?
