Your Overkill Gaming PC

Moglakos

I wanna know how many dollars/euros you would spend for a gaming pc and it;s specs...

My overkill would be:

Cpu Intel I5-4690K 3.5GHz

Motherboard Gigabyte GA-Z97X Gaming 5

GPU EVGA GTX780 3GB

RAM G.Skill TridentX series F3-1866C8D 16GB

SSD Adata premier Pro SP910 512GB

HDD Seagate ST4000DM000 Barracuda 4TB

PSU Coolermaster V series 850W (full modular)

Custom Watercooling System

Monitor Asus VG248QE

That's about 2500€

I wouldn't call this overkill, but depending on the resolution/games you (OP) play, it might be.

Honestly I'd don't really see the need to go above $1500 now days. Anything beyond is mostly just a waste of money IMO

Most likely you'd just want 4 of the 8GB 290x's

Those 290x's are so beautiful that I'd keep them air cooled.

if i had billions of dollars i would go with a

intel I7 5960x $1,050

ASUS X99-E WS $530

64GB of DDR4 $300-500

4x Nvidia Quadro K6000 $24,000 (got to have that 12GB of VRAM per GPU)

8x Samsung 850 pro 1TB in RAID $5,600

CORSAIR AX1500i PSU $450

case $200-700

and a custom water cooling loop lets say $1,000-2,000

and the grand total is $34,820

i would hate to see the sells tax on this

my computer beats all computers in a 1,000 NM radius

do you mean "more"

well it mite need more than 1200W but it is hard to find a good 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified PSU over 1200W at lest on newegg

edit

well i found out that 80 PLUS Titanium is better so i can get a good 1500W PSU

For just the components inside the case, overkill is anything over 2.5K (too much dimishing returns beyond this point.)

I probably will change them. They're just there as an insert since they're the best currently. If and when a worthwhile flagship arrives, it will probably replace them.

If I had infinite $$ I would get a serverboard with 4 sockets and put a 15 core xeon in each then buy it 1.5tb ram, have 4-way sli titan black with a fifth one dedicated to physX,

then i'd get a fusion iO drive Octal 10.24TB PCIe SSD

then some custom loop lol

so like 250k
