Oh Craigslist, why do I even bother with you?

Sashi

So I'm selling my Note 3 with $140 worth of accessories

I see an ad that this guy wants to buy all sorts of phones including iPhone 5s, 5c, 5, Samsung S4, S5, Note 2, Note 3, Nexus 5. It says to text or email, so I text

I tell him/her whats including and he/she asks how much.. I tell her/him $450 since everywhere else has it for about 400-550 on CL

He/she laughs and says no way thats so overpriced so I ask "Offer then".... so........... he/she says $150.  After that I laugh, ignore and delete the text

Why... why are Craigslist people so cheap all the time?

Why!!!? :(

Edit: This is in NO way an ad

Pikeys mate.

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

Arguing with religious people is like explaining to your mother that online games can't be paused...

You should expect low ball offers. Plus, not everyone wants a shit load of accessories.

Supply and demand. Truthfully, you picked a pretty bad time because the iphone 6 is just around the corner. That's what MOST people want.

How many note 3's are on craigslist right now? I guarantee you there's a phuck ton. You have to make your offer stand out from the rest. Always remember, there will always be idiots out there lowballing. A friend of mine recently sold his note 3 for $350 (this was back in early June.)

I wish you the best of luck.

Many are for $350-$700

$350 ones I've seen seem like scams as they include no picture and says no box or anything just the phone. Seems like a stolen phone

The real ones are around the $400 mark

The person probably just re sells the phones for profit and thats why they low ball you. They try and get people that are desperate for money quick

You also have to keep in mind that other prices are just high because of lowballers. Expect about 60% of asking price. No one bit on my MBP when I had it up for $1100, or they offered stupid trades like first-gen Xboxes. When I put it at $2000, I got some guy make an offer for $1200.

No you should put it at $450 and entertain offers >$200. Gazelle offers you $160-$240 depending on your carrier, so keep that in mind. You can try to sell accessories on their own, but you'll probably end up eating their cost because no one wants them fluffing up the price. With Note 4 and iPhone 6 ready, it's not really your market.
