It's actually from my friend. xD

It's been one week that this is happening until now. It's idle temps are 40 degree celcius while light load is 90 degrees.

We already change the thermal paste, cleaned up the system, even format it because we thought it was a process problem in the OS

And oh, the unit is an ACER Aspire V5-471G

Any verdict on what might be the problem?

Ambient?

Not that hot. around 27-33 celcius. I'm not concerned on idle temps. I'm more concerned of the temps on load.

the fan is working. The weird thing is I know that Intel cpus shut down if the temps is too high.... right?

Change thermal paste... on a laptop it DOES change temps a lot, use something like MX-4/NT-H1

hmm.... I'll ask him later on what brand is the thermal paste that he is using.

yes they will throttle themselves

This is my opinion, it doesn't mean I'm right and is liable to change at any time. I may offend of which I apologize in advance.

It's not dumb when it saves your ass in a project and you can't take your desktop with you does it? The only advantage on having a laptop is mobility and most people need that. if I can bring my cpu + monitor + mouse + keyboard in school then who'll look dumb in that scenario?
