Well ever since I got my desktop my room heats up to 45 degrees and it gets a bit uncomfortable. Sometimes even up to 48.

My CPU, at idle, doesn't get a lick above 38 and my PSU seems to be putting out cold air along with my other case fans which is weird because my room is warmer.

Stupidly my dad turns off the AC at night and my room turns into a sauna getting 51C and I literally have to sleep in a puddle of sweat.

And even with my desktop off... my room is hot alone... but the computer adds to the problem.

Help?

Eric S. Raymond used an E6600 from 2005 until 12/30/14 or open source software creation. Raw data computations in excess of 18GB each. Core 2 Duos still have tons of life left, my friend.

Not much you can do, getting your pc lower than 38 will be a pretty difficult task

I would rather have AC on at night to help me sleep tahn during the day

Yep. Dad turns it off out of his own lack of caring that my room is a sauna.

When I open the door to my room at night everyone complains. Saying that my computer is heating everyone up.

I then say my computer is off and they just... roll their eyes.

Get a Window Fan with 2 fans have one exhaust air and one intake or just open your bedroom door and have both be intakes to move the air; if your lucky maybe the heat will spread over the house and convince your dad to turn AC on at night if not should atleast exhaust lots of heat...

Could Ghetto up some cooling solution or just buy a windowmounted AC unit for like a hundred bucks won't add to the bill for your dad anymore than your computer will xD

Ah. Why does he need air conditioning then? Here in Scotland no one has air conditioning.

You do realize computers can output upto 105C right? in a confined area over time the tempatures well eventually equalize to the point where his room will eventually hit the same temprature as his computer; HDDs can hit 70C GPUs can hit 95C CPUS can hit 105C which means if he were to play for long enough he could kill himself with out venthilating his room but thats besides the point he's just getting very uncomfortable... And I may have overstated the similarity Scotland is colder I just didn't think it wastoo much colder but yeah I was off it's actually a bit warmer there it's definately not a desert though...

@OP I'm trying my best to think of solutions but I notice your PC specs and this goes against alot of things I've said previously but have you considered just do an upgrade to a more efficient PC that could output less heat? To like an i3 or Pentium  w/ a 750(ti) or just switch to a Kaveri,

lolz yes, but IF his computer continuously runs it continously outputs heat reguardless of what it's temps are xD and if heat doesn't escape it only builds up >.<

seems like a personal prob :P but on a more serious fan note, just buy some table fans and put them in/around your room and aimed at your bed. during the summer, my rooms the hottest and during the winter its the coldest, so during the summer i keep 2 fans on usually when im home and even when im not, just to ensure that nothing gets too hot. ALSO, make sure you leave your door open all the time, i guess youre sacrifcing your privacy, but when i keep mine open, its almost not noticeable in terms of heat when i walk into my room from the rest of my apartment :P

IT IS YES IT IS.

And yeah my mom complained about my door being open last night and the upstairs became hot. My dad called us all a bunch of wimps until he walked in my room.

The AC is on right now. Yay.
