one time i had like 3 or 4 tabs and it was killin me idk why chrome does it. i love chrome but firefox is lookin a lot better atm in terms of resources + it actually scales correctly on the blade + it doesnt drain the battery

I always try browsers every couple months, when big updates come and yet I still never liked Chrome, it's has very few options and is slow and heavy as balls. Have no clue why you people still use it.

My pc handles it without a problem and it's super responsive in my case. I also use firefox for certain things though.

If you run crysis 3 on a overkill PC it's going to run super responsive too, it doesn't make it a good and optimized game.

For power users being able to customize and configure everything is very important, and specially security, which is a big problem for chrome even if you are super careful with what to do, it's so popular  that people have found backdoors for everything.

For multi-platform users being able to use different systems and still have your configuration and profiles loaded saves you a lot of time, once you go to a tablet, HTPC, slow PC at work, or even different OS, suddenly chrome is not all fast and responsive, on a low power system is going to be a pain in the ass.

Each tab and extension creates its own process, it's why Chrome is bloated as balls if you're a heavy user. This is very old news.

I run it at work on a celeron, but I understand and agree with what you're saying, I know that firefox is better just that I tend to keep its usage to what I find important, for casual browsing I use chrome because of addblocker, a download tool of mine and the fact that I'm too lazy to just import my bookmarks etc to firefox even though it's easy as all hell.

 

To be 100% honest if my work didn't do everything on Drive I wouldn't have started using Chrome in the first place.

I have a 120GB EVO with an Intel Atom.

If you don't understand why chrome using 2.8GB of RAM is a big problem, its because I have 4 GB of RAM total

On some systems IE 11 or higher the GPU acceleration feature that Microsoft developed can run a lot faster than chrome on some websites. All IE after version 11 is very decent.

It does. Testing it I found that it's pretty good on some websites, average on others, and on some breaks a lot like you said. Overall a very usable browser.

On facebook, pressing enter after writing a message has like a 500MS delay, which I find very annoying, also, I use chrome's syncing features a lot.
