I don't think cameras have what is classified as a CPU. But in terms of what does the most calculations...I think sound cards have a CPU. Besides, computer chips alone are computers. Your phone is a computer - cameras are computers. Your microwave is a computer.

Really? Then what's processing the image then? I did some small research and found something about cpu lenses. Dont know what that is though.

I said it's not classified as a CPU. We don't call it a CPU.

Like.... what?

Some clocks, wireless routers, some printers, your car, a plane, a boat etc

Basically, most electronic devices or stuff that uses electronics have a chip that processes information.

It's still a processor. A CPU stands for Central Processing Unit, so it isn't specific to PCs.

it probably had something that resembles a processor, but it would be very simple as it only have to look play a digital file.

Yes I know that. But cars don't have a CPU. Cameras don't have a CPU. I mean, do you call the ECU in your car...a CPU? Doubt it.

some times they are referred to as a dsp (digital signal processor ) but in all essence they are all  processing units and can be called cpus

Actually I think they do have CPUs. Specialized embedded CPUs are still CPUs. They aren't fast and cannot run anything but the code programmed into them but they are still a CPU.

how about the radio that should have cpus too

it's just the name for something. I'd say the ecu in a car is basically a CPU.
