first, sorry if i posted on the wrong section.

I decided to plug my PS3 on the same extension cord as my PC, monitor. will it be ok to do that under load for both my PC and PS3? the extension cord has 10a and 250v if that helps. wall outlets here are 220v.

You don't want to draw too much power from a single outlet, you could try it to see if it works, though it may not be the safest thing.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.1 Corinthians 13:4

Most power boards have a maximum wattage of 2200 watts or so, go ahead. I've done it before with no issues.

It's basically depends on two main issues, the extra resistance of the extension cord added and the maximum amps that can be taken though your circuit breaker in the home. If the circuit breaker in your home doesn't trip or have any issues then you are still with limits of that circuit, as of the cord that really depends on the gauge of wire it has, the longer the cord the thicker the wire needs to be to counter the resistance due to the extra length. If the wire is too thin it will heat up and can be a fire hazard, also all the extra connections made by the extension don't help with the extra resistance.

no problems, don't worry about it.  your are literally only talking about using 1500W at the most, your extension cord and outlet can supply 2500W without so much as being tickled.

I wouldn't recommend it.

List of things I have plugged into a single electrical outlet (via extension cable/power strip):

My PC (two 290Xs) which pulls 550w while gaming.

TV

PS3

Monitor

Bug Zapper (the lantern like thing that zaps bugs)

I have zero issues and have had zero issues since I started doing it over a month ago. My house is 50 years old and hasn't been upgraded (electrically) since it was built. YMMV I am responsible for nothing.

Depends on the extension cord...

A half-decent Akari extension cord can do it, but maybe not those from the street vendors or cdrking...

Also if the house has an electrical code compliant breaker setup, it should trip the breaker before anything untoward happens...

If your outlets are 220V you wont have any troubles at all. Even if you were in the states and stunted by our 115V systems you wouldnt have an issue.
