Nzxt kraken x61

thats a 280mm AIO, although I agree it is the best one out there, much better than 230mm AIOs. If you can get it, then yes OP, get the kraken X61, otherwise the H100i/H105 or swifttech H220X is your best bet.

What i7 are we talking about? A H100i will get the job done niceley. So will a H105, a Cooler Master Eisberg 240L, a Swiftech H220X or a Thermaltake Water 3.0 Extreme.

Could the Swifttech H220 do it too or is there any huge difference between the h220 and the h220x?

The H220X is the successor to the H220. Best is to watch Linus' review on it and see if you like it or not. I would only recommend it if you plan to expand your water cooling loop in the future. Because most of the time it's 30 bucks more than a H100i, which will also do niceley.

I wouldn't get the H220, there were a high ammount of duds which had pump issues or at least extremeley loud pumps.

who cares...

I saw the review of the h220x and found it a pretty damn sexy cooler.

Problem not available in Switzerland, only the h220.

The h105 should be good too but i read reviews of it that it's bad not that good and some people say it's good.

I had a H220 for exactly 1 day and then i shipped it back (maybe i gave up on it too soon).

But it sounded similar to this:

and this

There is a high percentage of faulty H220s, maybe like 20%, i have no numbers. So be ready that when you buy one, you might have to open it up and do a little maintainance like filling up the reservoir and freeing air bubbles. But i heard of others who bought one and never had any problems whatsoever.

One of our moderators @airdeano has a lot of experience with the H220, maybe he stops by to give his 2 cents on the H220.

who cares...

I would like to go for the h220x but not available. :(

But when i go for the h100i or h105 i read some reviews and the Noctua NH-D14/15 are better or a bit warmer just much quieter.

But anyway thanks for the info about the h220.

Now i know more about AIO products. :)

Yeah that's true. A Noctua NH-D14/15 or a bequiet Dark Rock Pro 3 etc. will be quieter and only about 5 °C hotter. It really comes down to what you like better. AIOs generally have a better performance and it may look aesthetically more pleasing to have a clean CPU area, but 8 times out of 10 an air cooler is the safer and quieter solution. ;)

It always depends on how they perform on an OCed CPU.

Will the temps still be 5 degrees warmer or will it be a 10 degrees difference.

From the reviews that i saw the h105 is better then the h100i, but does the Corsair Link affect the performance of the h100i?

Not really unless you want to control the AIO cooler via the software rather then the motherboard.

If you've previously won the build off please pm me so we can get something worked out.
