Is the OnePlus One 64GB worth the mark up on Amazon?

HK_Rage

Currently I've found the OnePlus One 64GB Edition for around $480 on Amazon, is it worth the price?

And yes, I am too lazy to wait/try to get a invite.

The Oneplus has hardware specs of an $800 phone, so the phone itself is worth the money.

However, I personally would not buy anything from them.

If you do choose to buy it, there have been many reports of quality control. Some of the phones have been reported to have a yellow-ish tint on their screen

It's probably not going to work.

What

The OnePlus One is a GSM phone. On their website they even advertise it as working on T-Mobile and AT&T.

Bands seem to line up for atleast 4G.

It will work just fine on T-Mobile. Don't worry about it.

the one they are selling on amazon is most likely the chinese version which may have incompatible bands with t-mobile.

Incompatible, but will still *technically* work.

According to GizChina, these are the radio frequencies for the Chinese version of the OnePlus One.

So, for 2G, it has all of the bands to work on TMo. TMo doesn't use WCDMA, so that's ruled out, and finally, the Chinese version doesn't have TMo's LTE bands. So again, *technically* it will work, but it's not an ideal setup...

OP, if it's the Chinese version, hold off.
