And whats the difference to a CPU

An APU combines a normal CPU but with a GPU onto one chip.

Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?

AN apu is a classification which has intergrated graphics that are quite high grade and could match a decently priced gpu to it.

 Exactly.

Yep, an APU is an integrated CPU and GPU onto one chip. However, on Intel's CPUs, there are integrated graphics on it, but not as good as AMD's APUs.

As said above, an APU is basically an AMD CPU series that has an advanced graphical core built in. This approach would be perfect for budget builds, because you don't have to buy a separate graphics card. Compared to Intel's HD graphics, the AMD APU's graphics are far better.

Though  hopefully with Haswell this may change :P

I hope someone's first viewed thread on the forum isn't this one. If you know what I mean.
