Best Desk Cable Management acesorys?

spwath

Ok, so im building a desk, whats the best way to manage my cables, like things to buy.

The Red is the keyboard, and 2 monitors.

THe Blue is a g27

The green is an imac g4

the pink are outlets

the purple is my computer, uinder the desk

The brown is ethernet.

I need some way to tidily conect the imac g4 to power and ethernet, conect the g27 to power, Computer, and petals, conect the keyboard to pc, conect the monitors to power and pc.

What things can i get to tidy up the abundant cables?

These things.

I've used both and they're pretty nice. The cable holder deal and a bunch of twist ties are all you really need though.

use Velcro. its very useful and you can always reuse it. you can buy a big roll of it for not very much. if you want to get very cheap, use binder clips and metal screw hooks. i drilled some holes on the bottom of my desk and screwed the hooks in to hold my cables i used binder clips and clamped them on the back of my desk to also hold the cables. just take the silver handle off and insert wires. buying cables just the right length also helps so there is not as many cables on the ground. some people cut holes in boxes and use the boxes to hide the cables. others use rain gutters and attach them under the desk.

Adheres like a boss, and is easily removed by heating up a little bit. Also tacks down any peripherals that you don't want moving around!

I used those twist ties you get with your garbage bags, I have a piece of angle iron on the back edge and all the cable are tucked back and under my desk, the only cables you see is the bundle dropping behind my computer.

Cable ties are great but are not really re-usable when you gain or lose a cable, and those plastic run holders eventually crack or break off in bits.

This is where velcro comes in, you can buy it in rolls in different colors if you are into color coordinating with your rig or space. You can nail or screw a piece under your desk and then attach your cable bundle to it. Best is when you add or remove a cable you just open it up and release/add the cable and re-velcro the bundle and you're back in business.

What you need to do there is to gather all cables coming from case and tidy them up as one bunch. Then screw few velcro strips under table and use them to keep cables up.

I know it isn't pretty but with my setup thats best I can have.
