If I may, stay away from the H100i.  Far too many complaints about bad temperatures and improper mounting.  If I may make a recommendation, the Cooler Master Seidon 240M.  It is only $60 after MIR, and can get even lower than that if you use a 10% off promo code that happens often.  It was just on sale last week, and it seems to happen every other week, so if you see it at this price again, pick one up.  I own one, bought it for $56 after MIR and 10% off and I absolutely love it.  Amazing temperatures, and mounting it is a breeze.

As far as overclocking goes, you have to go into it with an open mind.  Don't try and replicate other people's results.  Overclocking is all about figuring out the best possible results that are unique to your chip.  Every chip is unique, and when overclocking, it is your job to find the apex of performance that you are comfortable with.  There are many overclocking guides, tutorials and helpful people who are willing to help, but you cannot go into your overclock with a preconceived idea of how your chip will perform.

If you are dead set on Corsair, the H105 is a better option than the H100i.

When you go to Microcenter, I recommend the i5-4690k + Asus Z97-AR.  That combo will come to just over $300 after tax.

I'm just giving you a recommendation.  It is a good idea to educate yourself on products and overall PC knowledge, but don't plan out the specifics of a build until a few weeks away.

Because you do live near a Microcenter, there is no reason to go anywhere else for your CPU + Motherboard.  Their prices are unmatched for those two components.  Their other components are not usually the lowest price around.

What is your budget?  What is the computer being used for?  and do you have any color/size preferences?

I'm planning on getting an H220x for mine. I have an H110 but I dislike it. I don't trust things involving liquid that I cannot see and occasionally make gurgling noises (like once every other week) that make me panic. And at least with the H220x I can put in some sort of (word eludes me atm) thing to see that it's working. Right now I am using an noctua Nh_u14 cooler with 2 fans and running at 3.9. According to gigabyte's built in temp monitor software I am running at 22-26 C. Only have 1 window open. Not sure how accurate the "app center" is.

God I wish they would come up with a better solution for monitoring temps on the CPU.

my one concern with my planned build isnt the cooling, but is the 760 enough for 1080p?

Ok, for such a large budget, I am going to change some things:

PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/ZdgqrH

Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/ZdgqrH/by_merchant/

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($199.99 @ Micro Center) <-- CPU + Motherboard Bundle

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Seidon 240M 86.2 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($60.00) <-- Keep checking Newegg, it goes on sale every other week for $60.  Best AIO in terms of price to performance.

Motherboard: Asus Z97-AR ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($110.00) <-- CPU + Motherboard Bundle

Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Z Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2400 Memory  ($76.00) <-- Another sale item, wait for it to go on sale, keep checking Newegg.

Storage: A-Data Premier Pro SP600 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($79.99 @ NCIX US) <-- Amazing price for 256GB of SSD from a good company.  Jump on this.

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($51.98 @ OutletPC) <-- You don't need a WD Black, get the least expensive 1TB HDD from either WD or Seagate.  Avoid Hitachi and Toshiba.

Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon R9 290 4GB WINDFORCE Video Card  ($383.98 @ Newegg) <-- For your budget, you want to get at least an R9 290 or GTX 780.  Anything less is a failure to allocate funds properly.

Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro ATX Full Tower Case  ($103.35 @ Amazon) <-- The best case that money can buy right now.

Power Supply: Rosewill Capstone 750W 80+ Gold Certified ATX Power Supply  ($69.99 @ Newegg) <-- It is not modular, but it is 750W of Gold rated goodness that comes with a 7 year warranty, and plenty of power if you decide to Xfire in the future.

Total: $1135.28

Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

If you plan to spend $100 on a case, this is the only case you should be considering.

If you want to buy a modular PSU that gives you room to upgrade in the future, check out the EVGA SuperNOVA G2 850.  Sometimes it goes on sale for $100 after rebate, keep an eye out for sales.  This PSU is amazing.  All black, fully modular cables, so it looks nice and is easy to work with.  10 Year warranty. 850W of Gold Rated power.  Maybe the best feature, when the PSU is using <50% of power, the fan doesn't even turn on.

Corsair's build quality is lacking(6:00), it won't come with nearly as many features and costs more.  Not to mention, only a Mid-Tower compared to Full Tower of the Enthoo Pro.
