No, I think not.

Not even close, not unless you are playing games that are super shitty at using CPU cores..

I can be a cynical a**hole at times. I apologize if I cause any offence at those time. I also occasionally have issues communicating my point. Extreme introversion + Photographic memory + Some other things.

You should still overclock your CPU when running an SLI config. It will remove any possible bottleneck scenarios. On a 2600k, a 4.4GHz overclock takes little to no effort and can be done in literally an hour. It will also remove any possibility of bottlenecks. I would not SLI 770's on a stock chip.

it won't be as fast if it isn't overclocked.

How much more power consumption would the processor take if I was to overclock to 4.4ghz. Thanks for all your replies

Power consumption is meaningless, even if you pay your own electricity. It will have little effect on your bills.

I should just make a damn guide so people don't have to ask these questions...I mean if a pentium won't bottleneck then why would an i7?

I don't mind the electric bill . i just wanna know if my PSU can handle the overclocking

It would be easier to determine this by telling us what the make and model of your PSU is. Regardless, in most cases the answer is yes.

thanks , anyway its a cooler master gx750W bronze , i know , not the best .

According to Johnny Guru it really can't do 750W. You will have trouble running SLI on that. I would recommend upgrading your PSU if you want to go SLI. This unit can barely do 600W:

http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story3&reid=188

The problem with the unit seems to be with its cooling after a certain load the unit overheats and shuts off. Tends to be after 600W. I wouldn't recommend going SLI on this Power Supply, it's just going to give you problems.

I would recommend getting a better power supply first, then overclock your CPU, and go SLI. But I don't think it will be possible to go SLI with this unit.

Here's some great power supplies that aren't expensive:

Alright thanks for the info . I'll see if the PSU can support the sli when i buy another GPU , if it doesn't , time to change it .

If it does , don't think i could over-clock it .

no hate please :) yes im a noob

Not hating, but even a noob should realize that an i7, no matter what gen, won't bottleneck anything!
