So I'm going to start a series of threads about mine and your favorite PC/Tech things. Today we will be kicking off the series with PC cases. Now just to be clear this is not a fanboy thread I like all PC parts but these are my favorite.

Starting off is two honorable mentions

First is the Cooler Master Haf 912

post-107252-0-87813700-1407857945.jpg

Comming in at $55 this is a cheap case that I have seen many times in Low-Mid range builds. It has very good exterior looks in my opinion and is a attractive option for someone looking to build a pc on a budget.

Next is the Phanteks Enthoo Pro

post-107252-0-14982600-1407857958_thumb.

At $100 it has great looks and features the you wont find on cases $50 more this is a very good option for someone who has $100-$120 to spend on a case

Onto the top 5

Coming in a the Number 5 spot is the NZXT H440

post-107252-0-20233900-1407857928.jpeg

Coming in at $120 this case has very futuristic looks with stealth covers over the PSU and HDD's. This is a very polar case among PC builders.

At number 4 is the Corsair Vengence C70

post-107252-0-31340700-1407857941.jpeg

With a $130 price tag this military themed case sports a ton of features with cool additions like like a flip cover over the restart switch

At number 3 is the Cooler Master Cosmos ii

post-107252-0-69717000-1407857950.jpeg

With a giant price tag of $300 to go along with it massive size and weight of 57 pounds this full tower case has a very sleek look and room for 10 fans and 13 HDDs/SSDs

At number 2 is the Corsair Graphite 760t

post-107252-0-20075000-1407857936_thumb.

At $180 this beautiful case has a window for the entire side panel. For the other cases I just posted a pic. of the case with nothing in them but with this case I felt you couldn't really appreciate just how good it looks unless you see it with a full build inside.

And my favorite case coming in at number 1 is the Corsair Obsidian 900D

post-107252-0-56064000-1407857932.jpg

With a whopping $320 price tag this giant 41 pound case has very elegant and sleek with very simple looks. It has four 5.25 drive bays, nine 3.5 inch drive bays, and six 2.5 inch SSD cage mounts. Plus room for 15 fans and five different radiator mounting options this is the ultimate case for someone with the ultimate build in mind.

But what do you think what are your Top 5 favorite cases. Let me know in the comment below. Now just to be clear none of these cases are mine I have a Corsiar 450d so none of these where on here because they are my case. Also next week I'm going to do Top 5 best tablets leave your picks below and I will put the most popular comments into a list. Thanks guys for reading and be sure to check back next week for more Top 5's

Of chassis I've used and can name;

1) CoolerMaster HAF-932A (Main rig chassis)

Picked this bad boy up around December 2011 when I was doing a whole new rig build to replace my aging system that had a 3.0Ghz P4, P4P800SE, 3GB Geil 400MHz, ASUS nVidia 9400GT and 200GB Seagate Barracuda in a Lian-Li chassis (#3 on my list) running WinXP. I've had nary a problem with the chassis and its capabilities that couldn't be fixed without cable management and routing, apart from when the front wheels on it deformed and came off their pegs back in January during a move in the middle of Aussie Summer - but I blame that for having to move the beast on foot-scorching-hot cement when having to pack it up for the move.

2) CoolerMaster HAF-912 (SteamRig chassis)

I got this chassis around the time of a small upgrade of my own system and a major one of dad's, with intent of using it as a LAN server rig, but instead ended up using it as the testing platform for experiments I have in the pipeline but can't/won't do on my main system. I picked it up as I was fairly happy with the 932A big brother and didn't need as many bits and bobs the 932A came with, and it was only about $100 AUD (PCCG).

3) some cheap Lian-Li chassis from back in the socket 478/775 era.

The specs for the rig I had in this baby are seen above. I loved this case as often it was running so cold I could have put a can of Coke inside the chassis and the can would have been kept cool/cold. This was the chassis I was using when I was in the Star Trek Online beta with a system that by all accounts should NOT have been able to boot the launcher let alone play the game in traffic-heavy areas!

4) N/A
