AOC i2367Fh vs Acer H236bid?

MattTheMayor
Go to solution Solved by Excon,

I'd just save up. It's not a whole lot more for the Dell.

This.

Save up for something better. A good monitor will last you several years.

He said he didnt want to be told about Dell or the 2414, simple request yet you guys ignore it. How are those monitors bad? Have you seen them in person? Compared them side by side to others? If you have enlighten me, if not then dont bother posting something he doesnt want to hear.

@MattTheMayor, Both are damn near identical except for the matte coating, the matte coating on lower tier monitors does generally slightly mess with colors. If you are in a room with direct sunlight it is still recommend to get a matte monitor.

They are the same spec-wise, just wondering which is better? If anyone has a better monitor for basically the same price, feel free to show me them. My budget is $180-ish USD so please don't show me the U2414h.

well the main difference is would you rather have a matte screen or glossy that is the main difference between the two, also the i2367fh doesn't have a vesa mount

Christian and Proud of it

Neither of them have vesa mounts.

I have, and compared to the Dell which is only a very little bit more (with some looking around) the overall quality is night and day. As @Mooshi said, a monitor generally lasts many builds. It's better to spend a little more and get something a lot nicer.

It wasn't an unwarranted "Oh, he said he didn't want us to suggest it, let's!" moment.

Sometimes people need to be enlightened and need to be told other options, and reasoning behind it. It's often helped more than hindered.

Yep.

I've had this Dell 2408WFP since late 2008. It's only just now started showing its age a month ago. Plan on picking up an ASUS PB278QR around the holidays as a replacement. In contrast, the monitor before that dell was me settling on some random cheap Samsung 24" monitor because of the price. That monitor lasted all of a day before I took it back. Crappy color shifting and inaccuracy all over the place. It's worth it to pony up a little for a good display that'd keep you content for years instead of having buyers remorse. These days, you can get way better monitors for the dollar than I did with this Dell several years ago. No reason not to save up a little while longer.

I agree with you get what you pay for but that doesnt mean the other monitors are garbage. Also with that Samsung monitor its needless to say it had a defect
