Ordered my 780, unfortunately due to some bad timing of my ordering and processing/shipping it will not be here until Tuesday. I am very excited!

Reference or aftermarket?

Going to wait on the release of Maxwell, personally I can't be bothered to try and keep up with having the best card every time a new flagship is released. Plus I'm not paying £580 for a gcard which I don't honestly need at this time.

I think you'll be fine :P

My brothers PC is coming up to 6 years old this year and these are his specs:-

Intel Core 2 Quad (Kentsfield) Q6600 OC'ed to 3.2GHz

4GB DDR2-800 RAM

ASUS X38 motherboard that I can't remember the model

BFG Tech GeForce GTX 260

Samsung SpinPoint 500GB OS/Programs

Samsung SpinPoint 1TB Storage

Still runs Photoshop CS6 fine and modern games though on medium

Even though she is showing her age, still works fine though he does want to upgrade

6 years?! Man, I swear I upgrade parts every 12 months... haha

Technology and E-Peen is too tempting sometimes!

Not always possible if you don't have the money and that PC might be old but it still runs everything perfectly fine, has original hard drives, PSU and whatnot with no failures :)

Hohoho I upgraded from a decade old PC. Athlon64 3200+/Radeon x1050 era ^_^ .. I got away from a decade-old online game that I've been playing since grade school. The event prompted a new build  to play the latest games. I'll probably be replacing the GPU every 1.5-3 years.. depending on how games push the hardware...until the graphic settings have to go to medium preset in order for a game to be playable and visually appealing :( .

Just sold off my 670 for 310 euro, might hold on to that money till next year for volcanic islands or maxwell. My hd4000 will play most of the indie games pretty well. And I have still a bunch of ps3 games to play thanks to ps plus. Insanely good deal ps plus don't hesitate if you got a ps3
