Looking for a mechanical keyboard!

jd_guy17

Hey guys!

I am looking for a new keyboard as my current is kinda crappy. I don't won't to spend to much on it so I have set a budget of £100 but hoping not to spend more than £80 or £90.

I currently have no experience with mechanical keyboards and not sure what key type I like. I would prefer to have some feedback when typing maybe blues or browns not sure how load the feedback is, I don't want it to be too loud as it might annoy people when I am talking to them on skype!

Any suggestions would be welcome, also what key type should I choose?

Thanks in advance!

CM Storm Quickfire TK/Rapid/Ultimate. You can choose the cherry switch you want.

If you can try as many key types as possible, I know in most big PC worlds you can usually try out some of the keyboards (they usually have red and blue keys at least, and they are the 2 main types) . Also don't let skype stop you from using a keyboard because now that me and 2 of my friends now have blue keyboards, we just moved to teamspeak so that the mic doesn't turn on unless you talk.

coolermaster makes good keyboards  and corsair. I would also say razer but now that they have their own make of switches I don't know what they are like anymore as mine is an old one with cherry switches.

you could try this http://www.pcupgrade.co.uk/productdetails.asp?productid=11072&categoryid=460 it looks pretty good and has a number pad, which is a must have imo.

Anything from CoolerMaster or Corsair, but the K70 RGB hasn't come out yet and it may be very hard to find. I suggest the CM Storm Quickfire TK/Pro/Rapid/Rapid-I/Ultimate. They are all mechanical, cheap, and well-made. The only difference is the amount of keys/layout and backlighting.

All the parts are here, just need to get customized cords to connect the motherboard to the front panel.

The shine 3 is about £150 so its way out of his budget.

I am personally using a Logitech G710+ http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Mechanical-Keyboard-Tactile-High-Speed/dp/B009C98NPY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407354254&sr=8-1&keywords=logitech+g710%2B

It has brown switches aswell as some O-Rings under each Key, which helps to reduce any noise.

The price may be at bit high for your goal, but there are lots of good deals out there (got mine for 80€)

Ofcourse the design is not for everyone, but I like it :)

I picked up the ducky premier with mx red switches yesterday. The build quality is superb and the fact that I picked one up on sale made the decision a no brainer.
