We won't know until it's released. I just ignore rumours.

I mean... I'd buy it on release if it was under 500$ tbh. But for now it's just rumours.

The 880 probably wont be such a big jump from a 780 Ti, so its not really worth waiting a few months if you want to upgrade.

I will not wait, its not worth it that much to outweigh the positives.

I'm streaming every day, many AAA games, to entertain people and to get a hang of games that others are unable to play or want to see before they buy.

If it's priced at under $500 and almost as fast as 780ti it's worth it . If it's priced @ $399 and a least as fast or faster than 290 it's worth it.

Well, I will be getting a new system in ~month time, so if it comes by then or anything is confirmed I might wait, if not, I go with the 780 Ti or somethin.

Upgrade from 780 to 780ti not worth it.

Well, I was initially going to get an Inno 3D GTX 780. It outperforms a TITAN and has the performance of a Ti for 100£ less, and that cooling is A*. I will stick to that then when I get to planning my system.

I think you are overestimating that cards abilities by allot.

Please, take initiative to watch Benchmarks and Reviews by Hexus, 3D Guru, etc. Everywhere it performed better in gaming..Damn..

An OCed 780 and OCed 290x yes will be near enoff as fast as a stock 780ti but not faster overall.

That Inno3D card is at stock in those tests. It won't be faster than a stock 780 ti but in most of those games there is only a couple of FPS difference. I would say that is pretty impressive for a gpu that costs about £100 less.

It's OCed by 150Mhz from factory. That's a big OC.

Not in the least... This sounds more like hopes than actual possibilities also

When it comes to performance, we should expect it to obviously beat the GK104-based GTX 780, and hopefully beat the GTX 780 Ti. By how much, we don't know. I think we can expect it to fall 10% either side of the GTX 780 Ti, and at $400-$450, this is going to push the prices of the GTX 780, and GTX 780 Ti down, too.

>.<

  • The 780 is GK110 maybe they meant the 680 or 770 xD
  • It's pricing is pretty much decided just look in the past all 80 class cards have had one of 2 different prices a high one (180, 280, 580) or a slightly lower one (480 680 780) >.< and nvidia's hinted it's pricing to fit the lower bracket of 80 class cards.... which is still higher than $450
