My dad liked to do that too.  Yet I was much smarter at computers than him so when he would put a keylogger onto my computer I would just remove the startup item, my dad didn't know how to do that.  So he was always thinking that I was never on my computer, yet.  I was.

A keylogger?!?!  that is completely crazy?  When you were like a little kid and didn't know what the hell you were doing on the computer, I guess a keylogger for just safety purposes.  But, a keylogger on your computer?!?

That is insane!?  and your how old?

Get online armor firewall or HitmanPro Alert, they block keyloggers from actually tracking your keys.  So if your really worried get them.    Thats if its not to late, if its too late you might have to boot up on a linux bootable flashdrive and remove the keylogger, then boot back into windows and then install it.

So , Im Spending my vacations with my gf at her vacation house , and i brought my old laptop , and all the sudden , my brother comes on skype and says he needs my password of my PC (hes 21)

And i Asked why , he said he brought a friend over to play Gmod . And i said Erm.. ofc i wont give you my password , and he said ohh cmon .. dont do that to me please .. bla bla bla , And i end up giving my password to him , the

problem is what if my brother slips the password to my dad or my mom and then they go on my pc and see my stuff ... well i got nothing to hide , but my dad likes to controll us .. like installing keyloggers and other stuff like that .. well

time to reinstall windows again :D (might try Win8)

Frankly, its extremely easy to install a key-logger without the use of your account. best thing for you to do is activate the bios password. But even that can easily be circumvented.

I have a feeling i may do something like that to my kids... for science?!

This thread made me realize that once Linus' kids grow up and hit puberty, they won't be able to hide anything from their dad. :D
